Wow.  2012 was an amazing journey of growth for us at build/create, in nearly every way possible!  Entering our third year of business under the build/create moniker we are hitting the ground running with a lot of amazing new things going on…

New hires

The influx of design work necessitated the addition of another full time designer, and we welcomed Kate to the team in April, to much fanfare and applause.  Later on in August/September we said farewell to Donal, and welcomed Alex to the team.  Bringing with him a degree in anthropology, Alex has helped us flesh out our audience-centric approach to design and development in a big way.

New office

We quickly outgrew our space in the budding startup environment at the Tech Brewery and found ourselves a cozy space nestled right in the heart of downtown Ann Arbor on Huron st.  Owned by A3C, an architects collaborative, the building is focused around showcasing various green building technologies, including a rooftop garden which was a big draw to the space.

New focus, sort of

2013 finds us focusing even more on doing what we love- creating amazing experiences for our clients and their future customers.  Having built a name for ourselves in the web design and development community for our work with WordPress and content strategy, that service quickly grew, almost to the exclusion of all others.  While that’s not a bad thing, as designers that meant we were simply being under utilized!

2013 is the year we less-than-gently remind the world that we are passionate brand designers, able to tell your story across multiple mediums, creating a coherent and consistent experience throughout.  That means- branding, packaging, identity, marketing materials, and yes, still the same hand crafted, beautifully rendered, and supremely manageable WordPress powered websites that you know and love.
