A PURPOSE-BUILT KNOWLEDGE HUB FOR THE COLLEGE OF HEALTHCARE INFORMATION MANAGEMENT EXECUTIVES.

When the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) first approached us, they presented a series of complex information organization challenges for us to solve. At the time, their website was under-performing along several critical fronts, and they needed help to solve their navigation architecture. We brought our usability expertise to bear on this problem to create a dynamic website that better served their needs.

Usability is our passion, so the chance to tackle a major restructuring project like this ticked a lot of boxes for our team. Because CHIME understood the project objectives and was on board from the very beginning, we were able to form a close-working partnership that lead to improved outcomes for the client.

NAVIGATION FOR DEEP CONTENT

Right from the start, we knew that the sheer volume of content on CHIME’s site would be a major challenge. Their site held over three hundred pages of posts, articles, and resources, but an overly-complex and outdated navigation system made it hard for users to find and access resources.

We restructured their navigation to make it both simpler and more user-friendly. With fewer side menus to navigate, visitors could find the information they needed quickly and reliably.

SEARCHABLE INFORMATION HUB

Improving CHIME’s site navigation was a good first step, but we took it further by building a Knowledge Hub—a searchable, subscribe-able database of articles and peer-reviewed content that CHIME could post and curate to keep their members up to date on the evolving landscape of healthcare IT.

ASSOCIATION MANAGEMENT INTEGRATION

CHIME had an association management software with a large quantity of user data which they knew would need to be integrated with their new site. We created a single sign-on system that allowed them to pull membership data into their system, sync event data, and streamline registration information.

build/create studios is a dynamic and creative firm that took on a significant undertaking by replacing our outdated, in-house built website with a much more intuitive, professional and simplified site.

We cannot praise them enough for their creative vision, attentiveness, execution, and for guiding the direction of our brand.

KEEPING HEALTHCARE AT THE FOREFRONT OF IT

CHIME’s mission is to keep healthcare executives abreast of developments in information technology so that hospitals and medical professionals can provide the best service to their patients. We’re proud that our work helped them achieve this goal.

FORGING A TRUE PARTNERSHIP

Our close work with the CHIME team has resulted in a truly collaborative relationship. Because we’ve come to know their content so thoroughly, we’ve been able to anticipate needs and make suggestions about how to improve over the years that have only made their site more effective. And because they use their site so heavily, they’ve been able to offer us feedback and make special requests based on their own user experience. It’s the kind of working relationship most of us only dream of.
